1. About Hacker Watchdog

Hacker Watchdog provides cybersecurity, risk management, compliance readiness, advisory, monitoring, and related services to businesses.

  • Statement of Work
  • Master Services Agreement

  • Data Processing Agreement
  • Business Associate Agreement
  • Confidentiality Agreement
  • Other written contract

If there is a conflict between these website Terms and a separately signed agreement concerning services provided by Hacker Watchdog, the signed agreement will control with respect to those services.

You may use this website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for fraudulent, unlawful, or malicious purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, servers, systems, accounts, or networks

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the website if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

3. Cybersecurity Information Is General in Nature

Content provided on the Hacker Watchdog website—including blog articles, guides, checklists, educational materials, assessments, examples, and other resources—is provided for general informational and educational purposes.

Cybersecurity risks and compliance requirements vary significantly from one organization to another.

Information on this website should not be treated as a substitute for an assessment of your organization’s specific systems, risks, regulatory obligations, contractual obligations, or security environment.

You should not make significant cybersecurity, legal, regulatory, compliance, insurance, or financial decisions solely on the basis of general information published on this website.

4. No Legal, Accounting, or Regulatory Advice

Hacker Watchdog provides cybersecurity and compliance-related services, but information on this website does not constitute legal, accounting, tax, insurance, or other regulated professional advice.

References to laws, regulations, frameworks, industry standards, or compliance requirements are provided for informational purposes.

Organizations should consult qualified legal counsel, accountants, auditors, insurance professionals, or other appropriate advisers when professional advice is required.

Nothing on this website creates an attorney-client, accountant-client, auditor-client, or similar professional relationship.

5. No Guarantee of Security

No cybersecurity program, product, service, configuration, control, or technology can eliminate all cybersecurity risk.

Cyber threats, vulnerabilities, attack techniques, technologies, systems, and business environments continually change.

Accordingly, Hacker Watchdog does not represent or warrant that:

  • A business will never experience a cybersecurity incident
  • Systems will be completely free from vulnerabilities
  • Security controls will prevent every attack
  • Data loss will never occur
  • A particular security product will detect every threat
  • Following information on this website will make an organization completely secure

Cybersecurity is an ongoing risk-management process rather than a guarantee of absolute protection.

6. No Guarantee of Compliance, Certification, Audit Results, or Insurance Approval

Hacker Watchdog may assist organizations with cybersecurity and compliance readiness relating to frameworks, regulations, contractual requirements, or insurance expectations.

However, unless expressly stated in a written agreement, we do not guarantee that use of our website, services, recommendations, or resources will result in:

  • Regulatory compliance
  • Certification
  • Successful completion of an audit
  • SOC 2 attestation
  • CMMC certification
  • Approval by a regulator
  • Approval by an auditor
  • Acceptance by a customer or business partner
  • Cyber insurance coverage
  • Lower insurance premiums
  • Successful insurance renewal
  • A particular underwriting decision
  • Avoidance of fines, penalties, incidents, claims, or litigation

Final compliance determinations, certifications, attestations, insurance decisions, and regulatory decisions are made by the applicable third party, auditor, regulator, insurer, certification body, or other authority.

Where an independent audit, examination, attestation, or certification is required, Hacker Watchdog’s role may be limited to preparation, implementation support, remediation, readiness, advisory services, or coordination.

7. Client Responsibilities

Cybersecurity depends on cooperation between technology providers, business leadership, employees, vendors, and other stakeholders.

If you engage Hacker Watchdog for services, your responsibilities may include providing accurate and complete information, maintaining appropriate backups, granting necessary access, implementing agreed recommendations, maintaining supported systems, notifying us of material changes, and following agreed security procedures.

Specific responsibilities will be described in the applicable service agreement, proposal, or Statement of Work.

Hacker Watchdog is not responsible for delays, failures, vulnerabilities, incidents, or other outcomes resulting from materially inaccurate information, withheld information, unauthorized system changes, unsupported technology, third-party failures, failure to implement agreed recommendations, or actions outside our reasonable control, subject to the applicable written agreement.

8. Authorization for Security Testing

You may not use information from our website as authorization to perform vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, exploitation, security testing, or other intrusive activity against systems that you do not own or have explicit permission to test.

When Hacker Watchdog performs authorized cybersecurity assessments, testing, scanning, or related activities for a client, the permitted scope, systems, methods, timing, and authorization will be defined separately in writing.

Nothing on this website constitutes authorization to access or test Hacker Watchdog’s systems or the systems of any third party.

12. Downloads, Guides, and Free Resources

Hacker Watchdog may make checklists, templates, assessments, guides, reports, tools, or other resources available at no charge.

Unless otherwise stated, these resources are provided for general informational and internal business use.

They may not be resold, republished, redistributed commercially, or presented as the work of another organization without our permission.

Free resources are not a substitute for professional cybersecurity, legal, regulatory, or compliance advice tailored to your organization’s circumstances.

13. User Submissions and Communications

If you submit information through a form, email, consultation request, or other website feature, you represent that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to provide it.

Please do not send passwords, authentication credentials, private encryption keys, sensitive personal information, protected health information, confidential client records, or other highly sensitive information through public website forms unless Hacker Watchdog specifically instructs you to do so using an approved method.

Submission of an inquiry does not create a client relationship.

A client relationship begins only when Hacker Watchdog and the applicable client enter into an appropriate agreement or otherwise expressly establish the engagement in writing.

14. Proposals, Pricing, and Payments

Prices or service information displayed on the website, if any, may change and may not apply to every organization or engagement.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, submitting a website inquiry or scheduling a discovery call does not obligate either party to purchase or provide services.

15. Website Availability

We work to keep the Hacker Watchdog website available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

The website may occasionally be unavailable due to:

  • Maintenance

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hacker Watchdog LLC and its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising solely from your use of, or inability to use, the public website or reliance on general information provided through it.

Separate service agreements may contain their own dispute resolution, governing law, venue, arbitration, or other provisions. Where applicable, those provisions will govern disputes relating to the services covered by that agreement.

23. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

24. No Waiver

If Hacker Watchdog does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean we waive our right to enforce it later.
